How is breathing measured by the Baby monitor?

  • The Baby monitor measures baby’s breathing rate based on their chest movements. These movements are picked up by the accelerometer sensor on the clip.
  • Based on baby’s age, it detects whether their breathing rate is too high or too low. It will send you an alert if it goes past the too high/low thresholds.
  • It also gives a no breathing alert when no breathing movement is detected for 20 seconds.
