Not able to connect to Bluebell wifi network

1. Does the Smart hub nightlight turn on in ~2 minutes from plugging it in?


When you take the Smart hub out of the box and plug it in the first time, you should see the nightlight turning on within ~2 minutes from plugging it in

If the Smart hub nightlight don't turn on in 2 minutes:

  • Check that you are using the power cable and power plug provided in the box and plugged in properly at both ends
  • If the hub still doesn't turn on,you can try an alternative micro-USB cable if you have one available at home


If the hub doesn't turn on at all, please contact our customer support for further assistance.


2. Can you see Bluebell wifi network in your phone wifi settings?


If you cannot see the Bluebellhub-setup wifi network, reset the wifi credentials by pressing the microphone mute and volume down buttons for 10 secs or until the Smart hub makes a loud chime. The hub should then restart and show the Bluebell wifi network again.


If BluebellHub-Setup is still not visible, please ensure your phone is close to the the Smart hub.


If you still cannot see Bluebellhub-setup wifi network, please contact our customer support for further assistance.


3. Can you connect to BluebellHub-setup on their phone wifi settings? 


It is normal to see "No internet connection" when selecting the Bluebellhub-setup network. After selecting the network, please return to the app to continue with the setup process.


If you can see the Bluebellhub-setup on the phone wifi settings and can select it, but the phone doesn't connect to it, you can:

  • Move the phone next to Smart hub
  • Restart the Smart hub
  • Try to set the smart hub up with another mobile device


If you still cannot connect Bluebellhub-setup wifi network, please contact our customer support for further assistance.


4. Can the customer scan the networks?


Once you are connected to BluebellHub-Setup and pressed "Scan nearby networks" button, the Bluebell app should show a list of networks available for the Smart hub

If the app fails to load the networks, check the following:

  • Is the phone connected to BluebellHub-setup? If not, return to previous step
  • Connect to the phone to the normal home wifi, close the app, restart the app, connect to BluebellHub-setup and start the process again
  • Restart the hub and try again


If you still cannot scan the wifi networks, please contact our customer support for further assistance.


5. Can you select the right network?


If scanning the networks is working, but the list doesn't return the relevant wifi network, check the following:

  • Is the wifi network operating in 2.4 GHz range? Bluebell only works with 2.4 GHz wifi.
  • Is the Smart hub in the range of the router? If not, please move the Smart hub closer to the router.
  • Is there some interference between the Smart hub and the router? If so, remove the interference or move the Smart hub closer to the router.

If you still cannot select the wifi networks, please contact our customer support for further assistance.


6. Can the customer set the password?


Once you are connected to BluebellHub-Setup and selected a wifi network, the app asks for the wifi network password

If the app fails to show this window:

  • Is the phone connected to BluebellHub-setup? If not, return to previous step
  • Connect to the phone to the normal home wifi, close the app, restart the app, connect to BluebellHub-setup and start the process again
  • Restart the hub and try again
